It is my pleasure as the new President to welcome you to the Charles Drew Medical Society (Drew Medical Society), the Los Angeles County Affiliate of the National Medical Association.

The Drew Medical Society is actively invested in eliminating health disparities through a board strategically assembled to IMPACT our county, region, State, and nation. We look forward to physicians, medical students, resident/fellow trainees, and collaborative partners joining us in  IMPACT 2024 (Impacting Mentoring, Professionals, Advocates, and Communities Together).

Ecosystems are required to achieve healthy lives in often underserved populations. Achieving health equity in communities will require a cohesive acceptance that health providers, public health organizations, insurers, finance, academia, community-based organizations, civic organizations, and the government must be committed to the same goal, albeit through complementary approaches of eliminating disparities in care access, delivery, and health outcomes.

The Drew Medical Society remains committed to collaborating with organizations, people, and processes which bend the needle towards health equity and social justice.
